Globalization and Leadership Symposium – Spring 2009
The 2009 Midwest Regional Sympoisum on Globalization of Service and Leadership were to increase institution wide conversations on leadership and global citizenship. Participants learned how to help students develop global knowledge through local community projects and better link the bond between service-learning, leadership and globalization.
Scholorship of Engagement Series – Fall 2009-Winter 2010
The Scholarship of Engagement Professional development Series presents national speaker to provide best practices, stools and models of engaged scholarship. As faculty and staff at institutions of higher education develop programs and curricula based on community-engaged learning, it is essential to articulate how faculty may utilize engaged scholarship to develop their teaching, research and service in the academy. There are various programs throughout the year which are sponsored by Loyola University and Roosevelt University in conjunction with Illinois Campus Compact.

October 23, 2009: Community-Based Participatory Research: The Highest Form of Service-Learning. Featuring Dr. Garry Hesser
Februray 12, 2010: Why Internationalize Service-Learning? An example of transformational education in South Africa. Featuring Dr. Jennifer Fish.
